Apple vs. Microsoft

There was Foreman vs. Ali, Haye vs. Klitschko, even Alien vs. Predator, and now there is… wait for it, Apple vs. Microsoft. I am of course talking about the latest venture by a little company you may have heard of called Microsoft. Those boys with toys from Seattle are set to launch a product rivalling Apple’s mighty iPad, and the internet world is simply giddy with excitement.

Like the calm before the storm, the free speaking people of the world are poised at the brink of a technological revolution, they may not be panic on the streets of London, but they may well be riots in Apple shops, computer outlets, and online skirmishes in those oh so handy internet computing stores.  This new venture from Microsoft has been deemed by some as the ‘iPad killer’, and for those people who fear the worst (you know the type; they flinch at the mention of the millennium bug and the 2012 apocalypse), the imminent retail war between these two tech giants could well mean the end of an era and may well lead to the death of one of these mighty adversaries.

Microsoft’s answer to Apple’s ridiculously ground-breaking iPad is a revolutionary new tablet that proves to do MORE than the iPad can (and I thought that the iPad could do everything!). It boasts to be unlike any other tablet, being run on the greatly anticipated potency of the new Windows 8 system. If this isn’t enough to get anyone’s taste buds tingling, this new ‘tablet’ sports a fold out stand at the rear that allows it to stand up on its own (very clever) and a fold down cover that reveals a full keyboard and mouse-pad, giving it an almost laptop design (how lovely). A feature that we thought was exceptionally excellent though (if not a little unnecessary) is the magical ability for the Windows 8 colour scheme to alter depending on what coloured cover is attached.

Now if you aren’t knocked out by this, then by all means, go out and buy the iPad, they do say after all, ’If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’, and the iPad is certainly a system that has got it right. But for those who love a change, or want to wander off into the realms of that new undiscovered country, whatever it may be, then the Microsoft Tablet may be for you. Who knows? Maybe it will be even more amazing than the iPad, maybe it’ll revolutionise pretty much everything, but what can’t be denied is that this product will spark a battle between these two companies. I don’t know about you, but I feel a storm a’ brewing.

I switched over to QAccounting a few months ago and haven't looked back. I get to speak to my own client manager and accountant, the prices were the best I had seen, and I paid exactly what it said online (no extra costs). Very happy with QA.
