For all your IR35, finance, accounting or agency related problems
Contractor Weekly is pleased to announce the introduction of Contractor Doctor. A clinic set up to respond to all those issues that affect the contractor.
Seasoned contractors or the self-employed will, from time to time, come across a problem, which requires an answer or guidance; whether it is the complex issue of IR35, problems with a contract or agency, or a question about a limited company set up. Whatever the issue, contractors are invited to submit their questions to Contractor Doctor.
Contractor Doctor says, “There are many factors affecting the success or failure of a contractor’s business, some of which, when addressed early can result in a favourable outcome. Sharing these issues can help the contractor to feel less isolated”.
Each week Contractor Doctor, will highlight areas of concern and publish the guidance and help in order to support the wider contractor community.
Hi, can you tell me about Swedish Derogation? What is it? Are Umbrella Companies acting within the law when applying it? What does this mean for me as a Contractor?
Thank you
Hi Rashpinder, your response is here https://www.contractorweekly.com/contractor-news/contractor-doctor/1015-swedish-derogation
We are being moved to one Agency where we work, new contracts are to be issued, etc. and they will be processing the payments but they are asking for a lot of information, one of which is the payroll details of our limited companies in case HMRC ask/audit NI and Tax payments, we are questioning why they need this and if we should provide as any investigation should be via our companies/accountants, makes us think there is something else going on here with HMRC?
