Contractor Flights

Q. I am working with a contract for a large company and they require me to travel on business to deliver projects. They are telling me that I have to book all my travel using their internal flights and fly with the airlines they dictate to me – is this OK?

A. This often happens with large organisations where they’re able to arrange flights etc. at preferential rates. Where this is the case, it’s understandable and certainly wouldn’t be a conclusive issue in the event of an IR35 enquiry or have any significant adverse effect with regard to IR35 status.

I switched over to QAccounting a few months ago and haven't looked back. I get to speak to my own client manager and accountant, the prices were the best I had seen, and I paid exactly what it said online (no extra costs). Very happy with QA.
